My background
Before I came to Australia with my husband in 2001, I trained as an English/P.E. teacher, Back Pain Prevention Coach and Exercise Therapist in Germany.
Experiencing the many benefits of Pilates in my own body while raising three children and surviving breast cancer, has motivated me to return to the health and well-being profession. I have been teaching Mat and Studio Pilates to women and men of all ages and abilities since my qualification with the Australian Pilates Method Association in 2014.
I particularly enjoy adapting the Pilates repertoire for the specific needs of seniors and have developed a Chair Pilates Program, which I ran as a volunteer for 3 years at the Queen Victoria Home in Lindisfarne.
The Pilates After Breast Cancer (ABC) class has been initiated in an effort to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation and a bunch of beautiful women recovering from breast cancer respectively.
I feel very grateful to have been able to establish my own Pilates studio in October 2018 and realise a long-held vision. Constantly refining my teaching skills and understanding of the human body to better enable my clients to achieve their goals, gives me great pleasure. I find it most rewarding to observe the difference their progress makes to their sense of health and well-being.
